NAME:
Lam My (Lami) Tran
I’m a product/UX designer who loves both the human and technical aspects of product and interaction design. I treat the design process like a jigsaw puzzle where you can piece user stories, research, technology, and a sprinkle of thoughtful visual design into a product that can actually make a difference. I thrive where there are challenges to face, and I am always looking for new approaches and methods that lead to elegant, delightful solutions. Here is a little recap about my design journey:
COLLEGE
My design journey started with my undergraduate degree in Communications @ Seoul National University, where I discovered my passion for UX and HCI.
ENGAGEMENTS
As part of the International Student Association, I spent 2 years as a graphic designer, using Illustrator and Photoshop to promote cultural diversity and inclusivity.
INTERNSHIP
After my graduation, I interned as a UX designer at AKA Cognitive, a Korean start up company, where I acquired my first hands-on experience in product design.
GRAD SCHOOL
Following my desire to learn more about experience design, I joined the U of M Master of Science in Information program on a Half-Tuition Award scholarship.
MY HOBBIES
